Mostly Client Side

Hi all!

Just a quick note to say that I’ve added a “Database Design” category to Mostly Client Side. The reasoning behind this is that working with databases occupy an increasing part of my work. So, I wanted to add this category to the blog to allow myself to share tips and advice with you.

There is also another, more important, reason. Most websites work with some kind of serverside code these days. That means a lot of things are happening on the websites server. Many of these things can be covered naturally by the “Web Development” category. Issues related to the database, however, do not easily fit into that category.

Database design is probably never going to become the most prominent category on this blog, but I feel that it’s an area that it’s definitely worth covering.

Although the name of the category is “Database Design” posts in the category will not focus solely on designing database solutions. In fact, there will also be a lot of posts about the practical use of database technologies and practical code samples.
